Within program of regulation of inter – block space in settlements of City Municipality of Palilula, after settlement “Milka Protic” and in settlement “Stara zeleznicka kolonija”, the once neglected area, between streets “Stara zeleznicka kolonija” and “Milan Rakic” president of Palilula Municipality Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, handed on over the use to the Home council of citizens playground for children. About this project, program of integration with local community and other activities on regulation of settlements and roads in Palilula Municipality it was spoke on the press conference on the ground. To the promotion of this investment attended and Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly and Vesna Jovanovic – Jankovic, secretary of the Assembly, as and Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate.
“Park space in Stara zeleznicka kolonija is just a beginning of our activity with aim to provide happier childhood of our children. Until the end of this year in our plan is to set on 14 more playgrounds on different locations in our municipality and that in every part of municipality we have parks for children – said Prof Dr Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality. He urged all registered home councils on cooperation and actively participate in this action.
As playground is set in earlier, kids are already used the seesaw and swings, so they often ask their grandmothers and grandpas to spend time in park next to the building. “Space like this it means very much to us, and above all to our grandchildren and children, that is seen the best at evening when there gathered them thirty. It is nice that is Palilula Municipality decided to beautify our space, now is on us to labor to save and maintain – says Petar Petrovic, resident of settlement Stara zeleznicka kolonija.
City municipality Palilula is in own Strategy of development gave a special priority to the activity of improving of quality of life of residents in settlements, and in the city and in the village. Assessment of the situation on the ground, solving the problems and meeting with citizens its became good praxis in work of management of this organization of local government of City of Nis. As announced, after the Stara zeleznicka kolonija, until the end of September playgrounds will be set and in the settlements “Crvena Zvezda” and “Delijski Vis”.
